The Hobbit essay is due.  Select your prompt from the two assigned to your period.  Write a four paragraph essay.  It must be typed, one-inch margins, double spaced, 12 point font, Arial, one side of page.  Submit it to turnitin.com and bring a print out to class on the due date.

Print out the attached essay prompts and bring to class on Monday.

Attached is the literary device example we discussed in class.

Memorize the sonnet you have been assigned.  The last day to present is on February 2nd during tutorial.  Do not wait until the last day.  When the bell rings signaling the end of tutorial that day, your chance to present is over, even if you are still waiting in line.  You have two weeks to memorize; do it NOW!!!

Romeo & Juliet Study Guide--print out and bring to class.

Read the following chapters in The Hobbit  and complete the study guides by the due date.  The answers must be handwritten.  Insert enough space in the attached word document to accommodate your answer.  Print out the study guides in sections that correspond to the chapters due each week.  If you choose not to print the study guide, you must write the question and your answer on your notebook paper, skipping a line between each question and answer.
