AP Chemistry (Period 2) Assignments

Instructors
Term
Spring 2017
Department
Advanced Placement (AP)
Description
Advanced Placement Chemistry is a challenging second-year course that is taught at essentially the same depth and breadth as a college-level Freshman Chemistry course.  Most importantly, the course is designed to prepare you to take and pass the AP Chemistry Exam in May.  We will build upon the basics you learned in your first-year chemistry course and you are expected to remember all that stuff - we cannot waste too much time reviewing what you should already know!

That said, I hope that you are taking this class because you have a genuine interest in Chemistry (or, at least, science!) and that you are prepared to dedicate the time and effort necessary for success in the class.  If you love Biology, you should also love Chemistry - it's the "WHY" behind all biological processes!  If you've ever pondered why water expands when it freezes, why salt dissolves in water but wax doesn't, or why using your iPhone in bed makes it harder to get to sleep -- just wait!  You'll learn all of that and more.  Yay!
