Description

Throughout the year students will practice skills for success in college and beyond.  Students will closely read nonfiction and fiction to analyze how a text works to address the author's purpose and audience.  They will apply strategies for critically reading, annotating, outlining and evaluating college level texts based on the CSU Expository Reading and Writing Course objectives.  Writing assignments will develop skills for summarizing, evaluating rhetorical strategies, supporting an argument and reflecting on the text’s influence on their views on the topic.
