Welcome to Mrs. Deligio's website. I am excited for the opportunity to teach your student and work with you in helping your student reach his/her academic goals.
My teaching career began in the 1998-1999 school year at Sierra Vista High School in Baldwin Park where I taught English and eventually became the AVID coordinator. In 2000 I was privileged to be hired at Walnut. Here I taught English for three years before becoming a GLC. The 10 years I spent as a GLC helped me to appreciate the bigger picture of the daily operations of our school. In 2013, I returned to the Language Studies Division as Instructional Dean.
My own educational career includes an AA in Liberal Arts from Mt. SAC; a BA in English from Cal Poly Pomona and a Masters in Education from the University of La Verne. I hold a Single Subject teaching credential in English, a Pupil Personnel Services credential and an Administrative credential.
In the past year the Language Studies Division has grown to encompass English, World Languages, Business, and Technical electives, and thus the name change to Language and Media Arts. Each of the teachers in the Division wholeheartedly believes in the Walnut Valley motto "Kids First." On behalf of the Language and Media Arts Division, I welcome you to Walnut High School.
