Southern California Resource Services for Independent Living

Southern California Resource Services for Independent Living (SCRS-IL) is a private non-profit organization which empowers people with disabilities to become more independent.  SCRS develops comprehensive programs, responding to the needs of the disability community, enabling them to lead healthy, independent, and productive lives. Most services are provided free of charge to all persons with disabilities.  Funds for programs come from federal, state, county and city governments, and grants from private foundations, corporations, and individuals.  Some of the services SCRS provides include: Housing Assistance, Peer Support, Computer Classes, Art Classes, Independent Living Skills, Youth Advocacy, Transportation Services, Vocational Services, Information & Referral, Assistive Technology, Home Modification, Systems Change Advocacy, Personal Assistance Services, Community Education Workshops and California Community Transitions program.
