Language A1 is designed for academically talented 11th grade students who intend to prepare for entrance into competitive colleges and universities. It is a first year of the two-year International Baccalaureate Language Program. This course focuses on the study language and the dialogue that occurs between the writer and his/her craft using American and World Literature. Throughout the thematic organization of the course, students will examine literary genres, style, and narrative techniques in depth, noting the similar and unique approaches to human concerns across cultures

You must submit the paper and the flash drive in a clasped envelope with your name on it. The electronic component becomes property of school and will be kept on file until graduation. Teacher and student will run paper through turnitin.com. Congratulations! You are done. Your Written Assignment will be uploaded by your teacher during your Senior year.

To get credit for having a complete draft, you must:
  • have an interesting title that reveals the topic
  • have an introduction and conclusion with all the necessary parts in between
  • clear and arguable thesis statement 
  • incorporate & integrate quotations from text
  • meet the word count minimum 
  • have a Works Cited page in correct MLA citation guide format
