Assignment

Hello Students,

I have posted on our Class Website (the one on the school website).

If would be VERY helpful if you could check in with at least two other classmates to make sure they get these updates.

My goal, to “close the instructional gap” created by missing five weeks of school will be to encourage all my classes to finish reading the main works we were already reading when we left:

Junior Honors: Finish reading The Great Gatsby as we were going to finish it this week. If possible, review chapter packet vocab/questions distributed a couple of weeks ago.

Freshmen: consider reading a A Tale of Two Cities as we were going to start Book 1 today: see chapter questions and vocab lists posted for Thursday, March 19.

After reading, I encourage you to do some of the following things online to prepare for tests when we return in April: take online quizzes to check for understanding, watch online summary videos (Course Hero, Sparknotes, and Crash Course on YouTube-John Green series for clarification, read online summaries and analyses to check if you were on the right track, and maybe even chat with your peers about the book J
