Scene 4 establishes more of the context within which Macbeth moves and must lay his plans. What does each of the following suggest(what do they mean) about the society to which Macbeth belongs and which is for the moment headed by king Duncan:
"Is execution done on Cawdor?"
"Those in commission"
"COnfessed...pardon...repentance."
"The sin of my ingratitude"
"Our duties/Are, to you your throne and state, children and servants"
"we will establish our estate upon/Our eldest, Malcolm
I'll be the Harbinger...approach"
After explaining each, come up with a composite idea for the statements.
