Hello All,

I had on my homework board that I was going to collect notebooks for a notebook check tomorrow. I don't know if you all saw that since I did not get a chance to say it aloud before the bell.

Also, I left my master sheets of the table of contents at school, so instead of trying to best recall the assignments from memory, I will postpone the notebook check until Tuesday, 2/16.

I will post the list of assignments on here tomorrow afternoon. Please check back sometime over the weekend and be sure your notebook is in order. You also need to WRITE IN ALL TITLES or you will lose points.

See you tomorrow,

Assignment

Hello All,

Attached is a review sheet for the final exam. You will notice that there are specific questions for some selections and general topics for others. The selections that we studied earlier in the year and are therefore, least current, are provided with more specific questions to help guide your review.

For the most recent selections we've studied, such as Pride and Prejudice, general topical reminders have been listed. Questions for P and P will be in the form of multiple choice, True/False, and perhaps matching type questions.

Of all the vocabulary words we have studied, I have narrowed down the list to 20 total words for the final. 10 from Macbeth and 10 from P and P.

Please also note that questions on sonnets and grammar will also be included.

Anything NOT listed on the review sheet, although covered in class, such as "A Modest Proposal" will not be tested on the final. I will check those assignments during the last notebook check.

I will also post the notebook check table of contents in a separate attachment.

Also, for those who were absent today, please read "A Modest Proposal" by Jonathan Swift and answer questions 1(all), 3, 4, 5, and 6 on page 620.

Due:

Assignment

Hello All,

As your resume is due on the block day, Sept 15 (remember, it's late start), and I didn't have time in class to go over some sample resumes with you, I will attach them here. Please use them as guidelines but do not feel confined to the formats shown. I will try to spend a few minutes on Monday or Tuesday discussing some of the key content and formatting points for a resume.

Two sample resumes are attached.

Also, reminder that on Tuesday, the summer reading essay is an in-class timed essay. You CAN use your novels; it is actually encouraged. You will have one or two prompts (possibly) and you may choose any ONE book to write about (except The Death of Ivan).

The Literary Terms Quiz is also slated for Tuesday. I know, lots of tests and quizzes these past few weeks. Hang in there. With the shortened period due to late start, we
DO NOT need grammar workbooks on Sept. 15 block day. We may not even do bellwork that day.
Don't be too sad.

Have a nice weekend.
Mrs. Tan
