Reaction Prediction Practice!
For each of the reactions, write the balanced net ionic equation.
It helps if you can identify what type of reaction you're looking at before you start trying to write products. The hints I've given below tell you what type of reaction you have.
Do all the reactions for 1997, found here (copy/paste link)

Answers can be found here; however, they may not be balanced. Back in 1997, you didn't have to balance the net ionic equation. Now, though, you do.

(There is an error in answer for (e); product should be water, not H30)

1997 reaction hints:
1. Two ionic compounds in aqueous solution = Double replacement with solid precipitate
2. "Acidified" is a key word for Redox (this one does NOT involve Na or K)
3. Nonmetal oxides are acidic anhydrides. Acidic anhydrides react with water resulting in the synthesis of a weak acid
4. Lewis Base (e- pair donor) reacts with Lewis Acid (e- pair acceptor), and a coordinate covalent bond forms
5. Element + compound ("love triangle") = Single replacement
6. KNH2 is potassium amide; it reacts with water to produce ammonia and hydroxide ions
7. synthesis
8. Two ionic compounds in aqueous solution = Double replacement with solid precipitate
