3. The Southern White views that would include the Conservatives/ Redeemers/ Bourbons and that of President Andrew Johnson.

Read Bacon's Rebellion documents identify facts that were not included in the American Pageant; read Schweikart's treatment of the Glorious Revolution and identify facts excluded from American Pageant; read Nash's treatment on the development of Slavery and take notes or answer questions at the end of the article.

Read about Puritans and the Witchcraft Trials by Friday. I will post another reading for Monday's Class.

Here is chapter 4 reading worksheet. You should be ready for your reading quiz on Tuesday and chapter 5 by Friday.

Read the Charles Mann's article on Jamestown and Kyle Ward's chapter on John smith and Pocahontas. Also, I expect to quiz you on chapter 3 on Friday.

Read Malcomson's treatment of race in the Americas in the 15th century.

Use the soapstone for the Drake Manuscript and the John White illustrations. Soapstone cane be used for the American Spirit passages and Changing View of Spanish Conquest. The rest of the readings you need to take notes the reading that will help you discuss these in class.

Textbook needs to be covered and course overview needs to viewed and signed by parent. Chapter 1 needs to read by Wednesday when there will be a reading quiz. Also, you may want to review the course syllabus.
