Here is your STUDY GUIDE for the Sem II Final Exam.  You may use a 3" x 5" index card, handwritten on both sides, as a notecard during the final.  If you want a larger notecard, you may use a 8-1/2" x 11" sheet of paper, handwritten on ONE SIDE ONLY, if you bring a new unopened roll of paper towels on the day of the final.  Please don't bring any more tissue boxes... I have enough to last until I retire!

Do the following problems from the textbook:
Pgs 884 (Bottom) to 885 (top): Ch. 20 # 1-5. Don't do the "oxidizing agent" or "reducing agent" questions, but answer everything else.

Bring your homework with you on Wed/Thurs so we can design the rubric for the last homework check that will be due on FRIDAY 5/25.

Okay, okay... due to excessive whining, the Ch. 19 Test will be given on TUESDAY, not Monday.  HOWEVER  - You must still print and complete the attached Study Guide, due MONDAY! You do not have to complete the last page of the study guide.

PRINT and DO the first three pages of the attached Study Guide for Ch. 17 (parts 17.1-17.2).

UPDATE regarding Monday's test on Solutions: Many students in both period 3 and period 4 were unable to finish the test in the time allotted.  Additionally, period 5 was impacted by the lockdown drill and as a result had even less time to complete the test.  For these reasons, this test will NOT COUNT as a test.  Instead, periods 3 and 4 will have the opportunity to finish the test Tuesday in class, and it will count as a worksheet-type class assignment for all classes.  

Print the attached CH. 15 Study Guide. For HOMEWORK, complete sections 15.1 and 15.2.  You will complete the rest of the study guide in class on Friday.  TEST on ch. 15 on Monday!

Attached are two packets - one is a pdf of powerpoint slides with notes on Thermochem.  The other is a "notepack" that is actually a bunch of practice problems.  You can use these together to study for the Thermochem test on Monday March 12.   For tonight, review pages 1-8 of the slides (stop at "thermochemical equations") and do the following questions in the notepack:

Using Hess' Law equation and the table on page 921 of your book (appendix C) to look up Heat of Formation values, calculate the Enthalpy change for each of the reactions in the attachment below.  Show work and show units in the answer!   

Print and complete the first three pages (pgs 91-93) of the attached Study Guide to CH. 16.
