ENGLISH 3 (11) Year Course/10 Credits
This class further instructs students in writing the five-paragraph essay, rhetorical analysis and longer papers. While the course
focuses on American literature, it also includes a study of literary genres. An extensive research paper is required.
Type of course: Meets graduation and CSU/UC category “B” entrance requirements.

Summary websites are good for detail specific clarification, but do not work well as a subsitution for reading.

"Sinners in the Hands of Angry God" 'Album' 
Due at the end of class on Friday. You will have Friday to work in class, but you should make wise choices and also spend some time on this during tutorial/at home.
--Front of album must include: Title of Album (name of the sermon), Cover Art (representing imagery from the sermon) and the Artist's Name (Jonathan Edwards) *You can change his name, but it must be a version of his name
--Back of album: Write a "review" of the sermon which we are viewing as a "song." Use one of the 5 quotes (lyrics) you selected in class to include in your review. Your review should talk about the sermon (song) as a whole with the quote incoporated.
