Description

Throughout the year, the students will develop professional and college preparatory skills that emphasize critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and communication.

Students will apply strategies for reading, annotating, outlining and evaluating college level texts based on the CSU Expository Reading and Writing Course objectives.  They will closely read nonfiction and fiction to analyze how a text works to address the author's purpose and audience.  Writing assignments will develop skills for summarizing, evaluating rhetorical strategies, supporting an argument and reflecting on the text’s influence on their views on the topic.
