Robotics Team Off to a Hot Start!

VolTech Robotics Team from Walnut High School Robotics Club attended their Qualifier Tournament at Fountain Valley High School last Sunday, January 30, 2022. There were 24 teams. The team fought very hard and took home the CHAMPION AWARD (Inspire Winner) along with Finalist Alliance Award, Think Award 3rd Place, Connect Award 3rd Place, Control Award 3rd Place, Motivate Award 2nd Place, Promote Award 3rd Place, and Compass Award Winner.


The VolTech is the newest FTC robotics team at Walnut High School Robotics Club and is mentored by Wolf Corp. who also received the mentor award at the event. The VolTech Robotics Team is comprised of 10 freshmen who are Jacqueline Luo, Anson Lin, Jasmine Torres, Justin Cheng, Ryan Tsai, John Yang, Calvin Bautista, Josette Shiau-Laroche, Leo Liao, and Peter Lee. They have been working very hard to design, build, and program a robot as well as hosting outreach events and community service. The team now will move on to the regional tournament on March 12, 2022, which will take place at Monrovia High School.
