English 3 Honors is a college preparatory course designed to enable students to read critically, write proficiently, and communicate effectively in order to demonstrate college and career readiness. Higher order thinking skills and in-depth analysis and discussions are other major components of the class. During the first semester, students will complete a Junior Research Paper. A diverse selection of reading material, including novels, a play, poetry, articles, essays, and other nonfiction pieces that are supported by the Common Core, will be part of the curriculum.
