Sports Medicine

The objective of the Sports Medicine program is to provide the highest standard of care for the student-athletes. We ensure that your child’s health and safety is our top priority, and we pride ourselves in providing quality care when an unforeseen injury occurs. The Certified Athletic Trainer and Sports Medicine Staff oversees roughly 800 athletes annually. Be assured, we adhere to our scope of practice, and will demonstrate sound judgment and referrals when necessary.

Please be advised that ALL participating student-athletes must complete the "Athletic Participation Clearance Procedures" before trying out for or participating in any Walnut High School athletic events. Click the tab on the right ("Athletic Participation Clearance Procedures") for more information on how to get cleared!

The medical examination form must be completed and signed by a CA licensed health care provider, (MD or DO). For more information, click "Athletic Participation Clearance Procedures" on the right side of this page.

If there are any questions or concerns, contact Ms. Faith Villanueva, the Certified Athletic Trainer at Walnut High School. fvillanueva@wvusd.k12.ca.us
